The Gender Equality Officer supports MPL’s management in fulfilling the statutory gender equality mandate and assisting all MPL staff in a trustworthy, advisory and conflict-solving capacity regarding issues related to equal opportunities and specific problems.

That’s why Shada Abu Hattum volunteered to be and was elected as MPL’s Gender Equality Officer, a position she has held since October 2020, in addition to working as PhD student in the Guck Division. Deputy Gender Equality Officer is Clarissa Grygier who is part of the MPL communication department.
