Richard Zeltner wins "Best Student Paper Award"

PhD student Richard Zeltner was awarded for submitting the best student paper in the categories "Optical Sensors and Specialty Optical Fibers" at the Advanced Photonics Congress 2018 by The Optical Society in Zurich.
In the paper Zeltner and his co-workers demonstrated that a whispering-gallery-mode microlaser optically propelled inside the core of a hollow-core photonic crystal fiber can be exploited for the detection of temperature variations along the fiber with mm-spatial resolution.
Congratulations to Richard Zeltner!
