
Karim Almahayni obtained his BEng in Chemical Engineering (with distinction, 2019) from The University of Sheffield. Following his bachelor’s degree, he completed an MSc in Pharmacology (with distinction, 2020) at St. Hugh’s College, University of Oxford, as an Oxford-Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum scholar. In 2021, Karim joined the Möckl group at MPL as a doctoral researcher, where he exploits modern optical tools to scrutinize and influence biological systems.
Outside of work, he loves to read, to cycle, and to play basketball.
