Congratulations to Steven Becker on receiving two outstanding research awards in 2025!

In October, Steven received a STAEDTLER Foundation Doctoral Award, which honors outstanding doctoral research at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. He was recognized for his thesis on optoacoustics for photonic machine learning. Find more info here.

In September, he was also honored with a Research Award from the Alexa Melcher and Thomas Schiffer Foundation in the category “Future technologies for industry and the economy.” The award recognizes young researchers whose work contributes important impulses for future-oriented technologies in Germany.
