We have been invited to write a review about the eigth EMBO conference ‘The Molecular and Cellular Basis of Regeneration and Tissue Repair’, which was held in Barcelona (Spain) in September 2022. Our group was well represented at that meeting with two posters by Nora and Julia and one talk.

Within the next four years, the FAU Collaborative Research Center CRC 1540 „Exploring Brain Mechanics“ (EBM) will investigate the origin, as well as the biological and medical implications of the mechanical properties of the central nervous system.

The Collaborative Research Center 1540 "Exploring Brain Mechanics" of the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen Nürnberg will be funded! This is a fantastic success for the consortium, and also for us, since we participate with an exciting project on spinal cord regeneration.

Our group's entry to the famous Nikon's Small World Photomicrography Competition has been ranked 17th out of thousands of submissions, and will be among the 12 featured images on the Nikon's 2023 Small World Calender. You can view our image here.

The 24th of April is World Day for Laboratory Animals and we would like to take this opportunity to introduce the zebrafish Danio rerio, which makes an important contribution to our biophysical and biomedical research at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light.
