• attendance at each IMPRS annual meeting
Scientific English writing course (to be started within the first eight months)
• at least two Monday Show talks
• two international conferences or topical schools
• acting as a buddy for a younger IMPRS student (in the 2nd year)

PL:

• at least two IMPRS block lectures

PM:

• two OOF(out-of-your-field)-courses
• 4 YES (your-expandable-skill)-courses (2 lab rotations / 2 advanced courses)

strongly encouraged

• IMPRS retreats
• Participation in the monthly IMPRS talks
• International exchange (one week in a foreign lab)
• Participation in student committees and club activities
