1st IMPRS Annual Meeting

The 1st IMPRS Annual Meeting took place from October 4th-8th, 2010 in the hotel Behringersmühle near Gößweinstein. Invited talks were given by Prof Arno Rauschenbeutel (University of Mainz), Prof Stefan Maier (Imperial College, London), Dr Fabio Biancalana (MPL), Prof Martin Wegener (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) and Dr Clemens Kaminski (Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Cambridge). The block lecturers were Prof Joachim Hornegger (Pattern Recognition Lab at FAU), Prof Philip Russell (MPL) and Prof Norbert Lindlein (FAU). The awards for the best student talk and the best posters were given to Marta Ziemienczuk (best talk), Sarah Unterkofler, Attila Budai and Christian Weis (best posters).
