Our group explores challenging theoretical questions in fields ranging from quantum computing to topological transport. In particular, we are applying methods from machine learning and artificial intelligence, which deliver entirely new approaches to long-standing puzzles. Artificial scientific discovery is our long-term overarching vision. Moreover, we develop new concepts for neuromorphic computing. Students entering these fields will be able to learn both about modern quantum physics and machine learning.
