My research interests are in the areas of nano-biophotonics and microscopy. I am working on the detection and characterization of single biological molecules on the nano-scale. For this purpose, I use and further develop state-of-the-art microscopy techniques including ultra-sensitive iSCAT.

After finishing my bachelors degree in Medical Engineering in 2018 in Lübeck, I completed the masters program Advanced Optical Technologies in Erlangen in 2022.  Since 2023, I am working as a doctoral student in the Nano-Optics Division here at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light.
