Workshop on Interferometric Scattering Microscopy

Update (May 8th, 2020)

We are pleased to inform you about the possibility to present a poster/talk at our upcoming internet-based workshop. To present a poster/talk, please upload an abstract (templateuntil May 20th

Here is the way your contributed presentations will work: You will have a slot of the order of one minute (the exact duration will depend on the number of requests we will recieve) for  a flash presentation of max. 2 slides. Together with your submitted abstract, this gives an idea of your work. Other participants will then send you a request for an in-depth discussion or presentation to you directly if they are interested to listen to you. You will then make arrangements outside the workshop hours with them. Given the vastly different time zones, you might want to provide two or three different time slots, or communicate with each participant independently.

If your contribution is selected for presentation, please prepare the slides and send them to us by May 24th so we can integrate them into the zoom meeting. We will put together a program and will notify you about your presentation slot in time.

Update (May 6th, 2020)

We are pleased to inform you that we were able to transform the planned Interferometric Scattering Microscopy Symposium to an internet-based workshop.

To accommodate participation from Asia, Europe and North America, we have chosen two-hour time slots of 15:00-17:00 (Central European Summer Time) on May 26th, 27th and 28th. The first hour will be dedicated to discussions on the pre-recorded talks given by the invited speakers (program will follow soon). These lectures will be available in a password-protected area from May 20th until May 28th. The second hour will be dedicated to presentations by the participants. This is a replacement for the poster session.

We will inform you about the format in the next few days.

Please follow the workshop homepage for updates and details: bit.ly/iSCAT-Mpl

If you are interested in participating, please register until May 20th. Please note that we might have to limit the number of participation and posters.

Due to the current situation, the symposium will unfortunately not take place as planned in Erlangen. Currently we are working on transforming it into an internet-based workshop (free of charge). Further information will follow soon. So, please keep those days still blocked in your calendar. In addition, those participants who have already paid the registration fee will receive an e-mail with information about the refund of the fees.

Time: 26 - 28 May 2020

Location: Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Staudtstraße 2, 91058 Erlangen, Germany

This workshop aims to discuss the emergence, current state and future potential of interferometric scattering microscopy. A hands-on tutorial session will familiarize the participants with the experimental nuances of this powerful technique.
