Press conference: Update on research on quantum communication - Project QuNET offers a look inside the laboratories

Quantum communication is a key technology to ensure a safe life in the digital world in the future. Since 2015, quantum communication has therefore been an integral part of the Federal Government's Research Framework Programme for IT Security. The QuNET initiative, which Federal Minister of Education and Research Anja Karliczek launched a year ago, is one of the flagship projects in this area. In this project, four research institutes are jointly developing and testing technologies for secure communication in Germany and Europe. The Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light plays a key role in this project. At a joint press conference, journalists can gain an insight into the laboratories and the current state of research. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is inviting journalists to this event:
