We congratulate Maximilian Eiche, a member of the research group of Jona Kayser, who has been awarded a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes for his Ph.D. It is worth a 50% position and lasts for 3 years. In addition to the financial aspect the Studienstiftung provides ideational support and a framework/network to communicate with other scholarship holders. He was granted this scholarship because of his excellent grades during his master as well as for the predicted quality of his research project based on an exposé he wrote.
