Virtual Christmas Party

Together with the PR and Front Office, the hbar OMEGA Student Chapter is organizing a Virtual Christmas Party! 

This year’s Christmas party will be an online event taking place on December 15th (Tuesday), starting at 5 pm. The link will be sent around on the same day.

What’s planned?

Despite being online, we will give you the opportunity to interact and socialize during the party and not just stare at a screen. We prepared a short program (~ 2 h) hours, in which you participate as a small team in an entertaining Pub Quiz and then collectively unpack the Secret Santa gifts, which are currently accumulating under the institute’s Christmas tree. In addition there will be another real-life surprise for you in the coming days!

How does it work?

We will use gather.town, a cute 2D animated video chat platform. In contrast to zoom your video and audio is only shared with the people in your vicinity, just like in reality.  It is straightforward to use and does not require installation, we will also send a short guide with some tricks around.

And then?

Afterwards you are welcome to stay online and chat with your colleagues, feel free to enjoy your dinner in parallel. We will also put together some suggestions of online games, which you can play, while staying connected via gather.town.
