Welcome to our IMPRS, Max!

Maxim Sirotin graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees from Lomonosov Moscow State University. His research began in the field of biophotonics with the development of new methods based on optical tweezers and optical coherence tomography. In his master's degree, Maxim focused on developing methods for visualizing ultrafast processes in integrated nanophotonics devices. Maxim is now doing his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Peter Hommelhoff at FAU. The topic of his research is the study of quantum aspects of the interaction of free electrons with nanophotonic devices such as dielectric laser accelerators and microcavities.
